Three Things to Check in Dental Reviews

When you read dentist reviews, what is it that you are looking for? Sure, you want to see if someone had a positive experience or if someone had a negative encounter, but that is all subjective. Are you really going to trust the opinion of people with bloated senses of self importance whom you have never met.

Here are three things that you should keep in mind when you review dentists online.

1. What do people say about their facilities?

According to the dentist reviews, are the facilities state of the art? Are they at the very least up to date or is the dentist working with an ice pick and a hammer? The tools and facilities of a dentist say a lot about them. A dentist who is not willing to invest in new equipment is probably working for the money, meaning he or she does not have your best interest at heart.

2. What do people say about their fees?

Do the dentist reviews tell you if their fees are affordable or overpriced? Does his or her practice accept most major insurance companies, or do they have a lot of hang ups when it comes to insurance? If you do not have insurance, can they work on a payment plan? These are the kinds of things on dentist reviews that can also reveal if a dentist really has your best interest at heart as well.

3. What do people say about their appointment schedule?

Are there any dentist reviews that talk about the hassle of scheduling an appointment with the dentist? True, it might be a one off kind of thing, perhaps they were away on vacation or perhaps there were also a ton of other emergencies, but if there are multiple dentist reviews complaining that the dentist was unable to work around the schedule of the patient then definitely reconsider. You want a dentist who is willing to make time for you, or will push things around to fit you in, but one who just pushes you off to the side really does not deserve your money.

I hope that this helps. What are some other things that you all look for when you read dental office reviews? Please share in the comments!
